As we are a small company 'Data Protection' regulations make us perfectly suited for the flexible and reliable supply of compliant signs.
Many of our customers have expressed concern about the requirements and in response we have contacted the relevant Government body to ensure that we are offering compliant products.
The actual requirement is as follows:
Appropriately sized signs should be placed in and around the area where CCTV Cameras are to be located.
- Furthermore the signs should:
- Identify the Owner / Operator of the system.
- Indicate the purpose for which the CCTV images are to be used.
Many Compliant signs are available which include a panel to be filled in with the required information, indeed we too offer such a sign, however we are aware that many of our smaller customers may operate a system which is directly under their control and should not require clarification as to who may be operating it. We are therefore producing a range of signs which are designed to be both Data Protection Compliant and yet are acceptable for use in smaller businesses.
